John Wright is an independent consultant who previously served as image4144Senior Vice President of the Ipsos Public Affairs Opinion Research Division (1989-2015) and Managing Director of the Ipsos Global @dvisor international polling group. He was the lead media spokesperson for the company in Canada and only one of 150 out of 17,000 global employees to receive the Ipsos “Expert” designation for his craft. Prior to joining the Angus Reid Group (bought by Ipsos in 2005), he spent eight years as Executive Vice President at a public affairs firm/media relations/advertising firm, as Government Relations Coordinator for the Manufacturers Life Insurance Company. He’s also co-authored three national best-selling books: What Canadians Think About Almost EverythingWe Know What You’re Thinking and Canuckology.

A Fellow of the Royal Canadian Geographic Society (F.R.C.G.S.) and an Honorary Colonel for the RCAF, he is an Arbor Award recipient from the University of Toronto and has served on various boards including the Woodrow Wilson Institute for Scholars, the Institute for Clinical Evaluative Studies and the Canadian Association for Public Opinion Research.
