October 18, 2015 – Nanos asked decided voters the question, “If a FEDERAL election were held today, could you please rank your top two current local voting preferences?” From this, the reported federal vote breakdown is the percentage of each party being chosen as the top choice.
Nanos conducted telephone interviews with 2,400 Canadians, using both landlines and cell phones. These interviews were done in groupings of 800 per night, and worked into a rolling, three-day average, which makes up the reported total. Results are weighted to census data for gender and age. The margin of error for their poll is reported as +/- 2%, 19 times out of 20.
Results: Liberal 38.2 per cent, CPC 30.1 per cent, NDP 21.2 per cent
